  • May 15-18, 2007: 111th Metalcasting Congress, Hilton Americas Houston Hotel, Houston, Texas. Jeffrey C. Rucker, Safety and Health Manager, Region VI, Dallas, Texas Regional Office, USDOL-OSHA; and James J. Shelton, Compliance Assistance Specialist, Region VI, Houston North, Texas Area Office, USDOL-OSHA; staffed the OSHA and AFS Alliance Program exhibit booth during the conference.
  • September 17-20, 2006: 18th AFS Environmental Health and Safety Conference, Sheraton Music City Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee. Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development staffed the OSHA and AFS Alliance Program exhibit booth during the conference.
  • April 28, 2006: 2006 Government Affairs Conference, Old Executive Office Building, Washington, DC. Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., then-Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA, signed the OSHA and AFS Alliance renewal agreement and updated 75 attendees on the Alliance Program and activities of the OSHA and AFS Alliance.
  • April 18-21, 2006: 110th Metalcasting Congress, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Columbus, Ohio. OSHA representatives staffed the OSHA and AFS Alliance Program exhibit booth during the conference.
  • February 16, 2006: AFS Southeast Regional Conference, Hilton Nashville Downtown Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee. Jan Cothron and Sandy Bennett, Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, gave a presentation titled, "OSHA's Silica Standard and Reducing/Preventing Exposure to Silica" to 60 attendees.
  • November 14-18, 2005: OSHA and AFS Compliance Training Course, AFS Headquarters, Schaumburg, Illinois. OSHA Training Institute's instructors, John Grzywacz and Terry Krug, delivered training to 18 attendees.
  • September 23, 2005: AFS Piedmont Chapter Meeting, Hyatt at Southpark, Charlotte, North Carolina. Kim Brightwell, Health Compliance Officer, Occupational Safety and Health Division of North Carolina Department of Labor, gave a presentation, "OSHA's Silica Standard and Reducing/Preventing Exposure to Silica," to 35 attendees.
  • August 21-24, 2005: AFS Environmental Health and Safety Conference, Dearborn, Michigan.
    • August 22, 2005: Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation on the Alliance Program and the activities of the OSHA and AFS Alliance to 220 attendees.
  • April 16-19, 2005: CastExpo '05, St. Louis' America's Center, St. Louis, Missouri. OSHA had a tabletop display at the exhibit hall.
  • March 29-April 1, 2005: OTI Foundry Training Course, Ford Motor Company's Cleveland Casting Plant, Cleveland, Ohio. OSHA Training Institute's instructors, Frank Perrino and Anthony Towey, along with AFS member, Jack Schuldt delivered training to 45 OSHA staff members.
  • March 15-17, 2005: Safety in the Foundry XVII, Providence, Rhode Island.
    • March 16, 2005: Jess McCluer, then-Program Analyst, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation on the Alliance Program and the activities of the OSHA and AFS Alliance to 45 attendees.
    • March 17, 2005: John Grzywacz, Training Instructor, OSHA Training Institute, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation, "Fundamental Hazards of Electricity," to 45 attendees.
  • March 9-11, 2005: 2005 Government Affairs Conference, Lowes L'Enfant Plaza, Washington, DC.
    • March 11, 2005: Jonathan L. Snare, then-Acting Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation on the Alliance Program and updated 50 attendees on the activities of the OSHA and AFS Alliance.
  • February 17, 2005: AFS Chesapeake Chapter, AFS Keystone Chapter, Conestoga Foundry Association, AFS Metropolitan Chapter and Pennsylvania Foundry Association, Four Points Sheraton, York, Pennsylvania. Ron Smay, Industrial Hygienist, Harrisburg Area Office, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation, "OSHA's Silica Standard and Reducing/Preventing Exposure to Silica," to over 30 attendees.
  • August 15-17, 2004: 16th AFS Environmental Health and Safety Conference, Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • OSHA had a tabletop display at the exhibit hall.
    • August 16, 2004: Ken Gilbert, Area Director, Indianapolis, Indiana Area Office, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation to over 100 attendees on the Alliance Program and OSHA's enforcement activities.
