Welcome to the National Invasive Species Councils (NISC) website for information quality. This site is intended to meet the requirements of Section 515 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (Public Law 106-554) for Federal agencies to publish Information Quality guidelines for ensuring and maximizing the quality, objectivity, utility and integrity of information (including statistical information) disseminated by a Federal agency, and to provide administrative mechanisms allowing the public to seek and obtain correction of information maintained and disseminated by the agency.

NISC Information Quality

Peer Review
Based on the review it has conducted, NISC believes that is does not currently produce or sponsor the distribution of influential scientific information (including highly influential scientific assessments) within the definitions promulgated by the Office of Management and Budget. As a result, at this time NISC has no agenda of forthcoming influential scientific disseminations to post on its website in accordance with OMB's Information Quality Bulletin for Peer Review.

Related Guidelines
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has published its final guidelines in the Federal Register on February 22, 2002. The Department of the Interior's (DOI) guidelines are also available.

Submitting Comments
Requests for corrections should be submitted through the process in the NISC Document.
