EPA at USAJobs
Our vacancy announcements are posted on USAJobs. To learn about specific vacancies with EPA and apply online for a job that fits your background and interests, please visit the USAJobs website.

Traditional Paper Application
Some job vacancies within EPA, such as Attorney and student positions, only require that you submit a resume and supporting documentation and mail them to the corresponding address. Advertised positions will be listed on USAJOBS.

Please follow the directions listed in each vacancy announcement to determine the appropriate application process.

Qualification Standards Manual

The United States Office of Personnel Management has developed an Operating Manual of the Qualifications Standards for General Schedule Positions. This manual will help you determine if you are qualified for a particular position, and if you are likely to be able to perform successfully on the job.

Veterans Employment Resources
In honor of and respect for those who serve in America's armed forces, preference is granted to honorably separated veterans. Visit the OPM link above for details, qualifications and further information.

Resume Tips
A resume is your introduction to hiring managers and should be carefully crafted to present yourself and your abilities in the best way possible. Please remember, your resume for any position in the federal government must be highly structured and include specific data that may not be required in the private sector. You must make sure your resume conforms to federal requirements and includes personal information, experience, education and qualifications. Always ensure that your resume is easy to read, well edited and grammatically correct.
