The Safety and Health/Environmental Protection Office is responsible for providing safety to various laboratories. They oversee collateral duty safety and health employees. In connection with the engineers, the Office reviews lab designs and plan modernization for safety issues. An example is the proper ventilation of areas. The Office is also responsible for the inspection of audits and the evaluation of safety and health issues and concerns.

Responsible for the establishment of methods or programs that aid in the reduction of accidents or incidents at SAA. He is also the director of Occupational Health Management Program (OHMP) and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
