This website is maintained by the Microbiological & Chemical Exposure Assessment Research Division (MCEARD) of the National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL). The Division is located in Cincinnati Ohio at EPA's Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center. This Center is a focal point for microbiological research for the Agency's Office of Research and Development (ORD). The EPA Microbiology Home Page was developed from the EPA Microbiology Gopher which was established on the Internet in January 1994.
