AST Proposal Deadline Dates

NEW NSF PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS

NSF has published a revised version of the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) NSF 09-29, that establishes important new proposal requirements on postdoctoral mentoring that will affect most Principal Investigators. NSF 09-29 will be effective for proposals received on or after April 6, 2009. We urge all PIs considering applying to NSF to review the new PAPPG carefully. Failure to meet these new requirements will result in proposals being returned without review. Additional information can be found by clicking here.

NOTE: All proposals to the AST Division must be submitted electronically using FastLane or Grants.gov. General information for Principal Investigators can be found by clicking here. Additional information for submitting proposals can also be found in the  Grant Proposal Guide

Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI) (NSF 09-516).   Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI) promotes university-industry partnerships by making project funds or fellowships/traineeships available to support an eclectic mix of industry-university linkages. GOALI will target high-risk/high-gain research with a focus on fundamental research, new approaches to solving generic problems, development of innovative collaborative industry-university educational programs, and direct transfer of new knowledge between academe and industry.  Deadline: Proposals Accepted Anytime

ADVANCE: Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and EngineeringCareers (ADVANCE) (NSF 09-504).   The goal of the ADVANCE program is to develop systemic approaches to increase the representation and advancement of women in academic science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers, thereby contributing to the development of a more diverse science and engineering workforce. In 2009-2010, this program will support the following types of ADVANCE Projects: Institutional Transformation (IT); Institutional Transformation Catalyst (IT-Catalyst); and Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation, and Dissemination (PAID).
    Letters of Intent Due:
20 January 2009:   Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation and       Dissemination (PAID)
4 August 2009:  Institutional Transformation (IT) and Institutional       Transformation Catalyst (IT-Catalyst)
    Full Proposal Deadline:
24 February 2009:   Partnerships for Adaptation, Implementation and       Dissemination (PAID)
12 November 2009:  Institutional Transformation (IT) and Institutional       Transformation Catalyst (IT-Catalyst)
