Radio Pioneers & Core Technologies
The second element in the FCC History Project was focused on the pioneers who developed radio's core technologies - particularly the public safety, business, and personal communication aspects of radio. During the spring of 2004, the FCC recognized some of radio's key inventions and inventors. Through a small exhibit and display in its Washington, D.C. headquarters, the FCC hoped to inform and, possibly, inspire with a few reminders of the great achievements that make radio as we know it today possible. Information and links on this web page are designed to provide a fuller understanding of the history and technology of radio.
