Analytical Studies
An alphabetical list of analytical studies written about work performed by the Industrial Hygiene Division of the OSHA Salt Lake Technical Center that did not result in a validated method. Some of the studies were written to answer specific questions or to test a new procedure. This list will have additional studies added as they are available.

Determination of the Sampling Rate Variation for Supelco, Inc. DSD-DNPH Diffusive Sampler for Aldehydes

Details the results of tests performed to determine the sampling rate variation (SRV) for Supelco, Inc. DSD-DNPH Diffusive Sampler for aldehydes. SRVs are dependent on sampler design. They are used in OSHA Sampling and Analytical Error (SAE) calculations. The SRV presented in this study is to be used only in calculations for DSD-DNPH Diffusive sampler.

Determination of the Sampling Rate Variation for Assay Technology ChemDisk 571 Aldehyde Monitor

Details the results of tests performed to determine the sampling rate variation (SRV) for Assay Technology ChemDisk 571 Aldehyde Monitor for aldehydes. SRVs are dependent on sampler design. They are used in OSHA Sampling and Analytical Error (SAE) calculations. The SRV presented in this study is to be used only in calculations for the Assay Technology ChemDisk Monitor.

Development Of A Protocol For Laboratory Testing Of Diffusive Samplers

Describes the tests necessary to determine the sampling rate variation of a diffusive sampler. The sampling rate variation is determined for the 3M 3520 Organic Vapor Monitor.

The Marines Project: A Laboratory Study of Diffusive Sampling/Thermal Desorption/Mass Spectrometry Techniques for Monitoring Personal Exposure to Toxic Industrial Chemicals

Describes the results of tests necessary to determine the sampling rate variation of the SKC Ultra, GoreSorber and PE Tenax TA diffusive samplers. This work was performed in conjunction with the US Marine Corps.
