Litigation Release No. 18434 / October 29, 2003

Securities and Exchange Commission v. Dunyasha M. Yetts, et al., No. C2-01-1263 (S.D. Ohio)

SEC Obtains Final Judgment Against Relief Defendant Gordon L. Yocom

On October 21, 2003, the Commission accepted the consent of Relief Defendant Gordon L. Yocom and a final judgment was entered by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. The judgment orders Yocom to disgorge $67,792.00, plus $18,703.35 in prejudgment interest.

According to the Commission's complaint, Yocom, age 35, of Powell, Ohio, is a former business associate of Dunyasha Yetts, a Columbus, Ohio resident who defrauded at least 14 customers of approximately $1.8 million in investment schemes that continued from 1998 through early 2001. The complaint alleges that Yocom received investor funds that were the direct result of Yetts' fraudulent conduct.

The district court's order provides the Commission with a monetary judgment against Yocom in the total amount of $86,495.35 (including disgorgement and prejudgment interest). Yocom consented to the entry of the judgment without admitting or denying the allegations contained in the Commission's complaint.
