Event Description:

For the past 11 years, the Northern California World Trade Center has been honoring Consuls and Trade Commissioners at this high profile luncheon in an effort to create and promote business relationships and foster increased international trade between California and its international partners. Last year’s luncheon featured diplomatic representatives from over 40 countries and hundreds of business leaders from the Northern California region.

This year, Daniel Pearson, the Vice Chairman of the U.S. International Trade Commission will discuss importing and exporting with the United States from the perspective of his globally influential position. The U.S. International Trade Commission is an independent federal agency determining import injury to U.S. industries in antidumping, countervailing duty, and global safeguard investigations; directing actions against unfair trade practices involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement; supporting policymakers through economic analysis and research on the global competitiveness of U.S. industries; and maintaining the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

For the past 100 years, UC Davis has been an international beacon for cutting edge research that has served the region, the country, and the globe. In an effort to recognize these successes the 12th Annual Consular Corps Luncheon will be held on the UC Davis campus.

Registration will open at 11:00 a.m. at Freeborn Hall on the University of California , Davis campus.
