Before beginning this internship, I had very little experience working in a professional office atmosphere, and almost no experience in business. Over the course of the last six months, I have developed confidence working in a fast-paced international business environment. During this time, I have been trusted with communicating directly with clients, performing international market research, initiating export assistance services, drafting organizational reports and mass promotional emails, managing the Sacramento U.S. Assistance Center website, and conducting international marketing campaigns. I have improved my communication and writing skills considerably, and have familiarized myself with many varieties of database and client tracking software with which I had no prior experience. I would strongly recommend this internship for anybody who is serious about gaining experience working in a business or federal government professional environment.
