It has been a privilege to work with the Santa Fe U.S. Export Assistance Center for six weeks during the summer of 2005. As an intern I gained valuable exposure to local business and international trade. My experience included contacting companies to determine export activity, updating the database, groundwork on an Export-Training Program for New Mexico’s Spanish-speaking community, as well as work with New Mexico’s Economic Development office. In addition, I helped coordinate and attended an Export Finance Seminar and as well as an “Export to Australia” Seminar.
