On March 13, 2009, Sean Edwards of the Arlington, Texas Field Office provided several presentations to approximately 350 children at South High Mount Elementary’s annual Career Day in Fort Worth.  Other professionals representing a variety of careers in industry and government were also present.  Sean discussed the importance of environmental issues in our day to day life and described the Service’s mission for fish and wildlife conservation to the students.  He also discussed the responsibilities and duties of a wildlife biologist and explained the satisfaction that comes with working in the field of science to better our world.  The students were urged to spend more time outdoors connecting with nature and to encourage others to realize the value of conservation.  The presentations concluded with a question and answer session as numerous artifacts were passed around and discussed.
