The first day of the visit consisted of a self-guided tour of the refuge. That continued on the second day along with opening up discussion with refuge staff as well as meeting with the Friends of Erie Board Members.  The team also toured the refuge with the Refuge Manager and the Deputy Refuge Manager to discuss refuge operations, partnerships, community, visitor services operations and outreach. A Draft Visitor Service Review was presented to refuge staff on the last day of the visit which addresses the issues and opportunities identified and offers recommendations for improvement.
