Columbia Partners with Corps St. Louis District
Midwest Region, December 3, 2008
Print Friendly Version

Fish Biologist Clayton Ridenour and Project Leader Tracy Hill traveled to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Field Office at Clarence Canyon Dam on Mark Twain Reservoir in northeast Missouri to meet with Corps Officials on 3 December, 2008.  The purpose for the meeting was to celebrate a new working relationship between the Service’s Columbia NFWCO and the Corps St. Louis District by signing a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU).  The MOU was to establish a cooperative relationship between the two agencies to accomplish the Mark Twain Lake Deer Hunt for Hunters with Disabilities Special Event.  Corps Officials in attendance included St. Louis District Commander Colonel Thomas E. O’Hara and Mark Twain Lake Project Office Operations Manager Sandra J. Spence.  The Clarence Canyon Dam Corps Office was a gracious host.  They provided refreshments, including a special cake to recognize the significance of this interagency agreement, and a professional format to facilitate communication between the Service and Corps.  Signing this MOU demonstrates Columbia NFWCO’s commitment to working with others to accomplish the Mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
