Private landowners learn about the Partners for Fish Wildlife Program
Midwest Region, January 10, 2009
Print Friendly Version
Green Bay Field Office Biologist Gary Van Vreede recently gave a presentation on wetlands and the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program to over 200 private landowners at the Northeast Wisconsin Woodland Owners Conference.  The Woodland Owners Conference was developed by the University of Wisconsin-Extension to provide landowners with access to information about local resources and organizations that can help them manage the natural resources on their lands.  Mr. Van Vreede talked about the functions and values of wetlands, the history of wetland loss, and about the Service's efforts to restore wetland and other wildlife habitats on private lands through the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program.
