Julie Teskie of the La Crosse Fish Health Center volunteered to create an illustration to be used by the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge La Crosse District Office as part of the new Brownsville Overlook interpretive kiosk. The illustration shows the benefits of planted trees as windbreaks for wildlife and river quality.

She also volunteered her time to create a one-page animal track guide for an interpretive kit for young children. The kit was compiled by staff from the La Crosse Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office and staff from the La Crosse Fish Health Center. It will be in circulation at local libraries and is available for purchase by outdoor education groups.
