Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office Conducts Round Goby Early Detection Monitoring in Oswego Canal

Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office  Biological Science Technicians Denise Clay and Eric Snyder conducted a three day survey of the Oswego Canal from June 16-18, 2008.  The objective of the survey was to conduct early detection monitoring for round goby in the canal from the City of Fulton, NY to Lock 6 in Oswego, NY.  Three minnow traps were deployed at fifteen sites along the canal over the course of the three days for a total of 90 trap nights.  Round goby were not detected.
