Fill material obtained from the wetland scrape area was used to plug the ditch and construct an earthen dike to restore wetland habitat.
Fill material obtained from the wetland scrape area was used to plug the ditch and construct an earthen dike to restore wetland habitat.

This project involved the restoration of a 10-acre wetland area. Construction of a ditch plug, along with a small berm and shallow scrape, will provide a beneficial mix of shallow wetland habitat for the benefit of a wide variety of migratory bird species and other wildlife.
