Lower Great Lakes Fisheries Resource Office partnered with the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper, Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, Ecology and Environment, and HSBC bank to remove invasive mugwort and Japanese knotweed, and plant over 200 native trees and shrubs at Seneca Bluffs park.  Seneca Bluffs park is a 15-acre natural area located within the City of Buffalo (NY), and is site of on-going restoration efforts to control invasive plants, enhance habitat, and improve water quality along the Buffalo River Area of Concern.  This project was sponsored by HSBC bank's Green Initiative and attended by 115 HSBC employee-volunteers.
