Jackie Kashmer, bat rehabilitator and Director of Bat World of New Jersey presented a film and Powerpoint presentation to a packed house of more than 60 people.  She then highlighted the evening by exhibiting a live big brown bat for attendees to see up close.  Children and adults were very interested and a lively question and answer period followed.  The event follows closely the discovery of the endangered Indiana bat on the refuge.  The program was co-sponsored by the Friends of Wallkill River NWR.
