Daycare kids love anything that's a baby, the Lake trout are no exception!

During the first week of August, fifty kids from the Wooden Pony daycare toured the Jordan River National Fish Hatchery (NFH).  The tour was led by outreach volunteer Nancy Proper.  The fifty kids and chaperones were treated to a fun tour, fish tattoos and coloring pages.  Nancy gets right down to the kids level.  She has a ton of experience and does a wonderful job with them.  The baby lake trout (fingerlings) were popular and so were the tattoos.  This is the third year in a row that the daycare has chosen the hatchery for a field trip.  We must be doing something right and we hope they come back again!
