Environmental Contaminants Program Provides Technical Assistancefor State and Federal Programs

During the 2008 fiscal year, the Bloomington, Indiana Ecological Services Field Office provided technical assistance concerning Threatened and Endangered Species occurrence for 77 sites involved in various Indiana Department of Environmental Management  remediation/cleanup programs.  As part of IDEM's Risk Integrated System of Closures, sites participating in the various state cleanup programs must obtain information pertaining to threatened and endangered species in the project vicinity. In addition, technical assistance was provided for two EPA injection well sites.
