The Austin Ecological Services Office helped coordinate a tour of the Texas Speleological Survey (TSS) at the University of Texas J.J. Pickle Research Center in Austin on July 17, 2008, as part of the Austin Office's ongoing Karst Conservation Initiative.  Approximately 25 people attended the full day event that included informative discussions about the resources offered by TSS to aid karst professionals in the central Texas area.  The program also included tours of the Texas Memorial Museum faunal collections and the TSS skeletal preparation room.
