Endangered Species and Conservation Presentation
Southwest Region, May 20, 2008
Print Friendly Version
Brian Wooldridge gave a presentation to a Flagstaff, AZ Montessori School on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.  The Montessori School class consisted of approximately 30 children from ages 3 to 6 years old and was of mixed ethinicity (Caucasion, Native American, White, African American, and Asian).  Brian talked to the class about endangered/threatened species, other species, why we protect them, what we can do to protect them  and why we should all practice conservation of  wildlife.  He talked about safety with rattlesnakes and how to tell the difference between rattlesnakes and snake that mimic them as well as coral snakes and coral snake mimics.  Brian also used antlers, skulls, wings, and a live snake telling them about the importance of conservation.  Brian also encouraged them to get out and explore (safely) and emphasized that their future involvement was very important in the conservation of wildlife and their habitats.
