On Saturday, May 10, 2008, Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge held its annual "Take Me Fishing Event" at Southard Park in Basking Ridge, NJ.  Partners included Friends of Great Swamp NWR, Bernards Township, Rays Sport Shop and The Fisherman Magazine.  Seventy-five people attended the successful event.  Local partners make it possible for the refuge to offer such a high quality and popular event for the public.
