The Royalton Elementary School spent the afternoon at the Refuge as part of their Environmental Learning Day.  The third, fourth and fifth graders were involved in a round robin type of program where the students would move from station to station and learn different subjects.  There were nine stations, 172 students so the afternoon was quite busy.   The Refuge, working with our Friends Group has been trying to get more schools and groups out to the Refuge to take advantage of the resource educational and outreach opportunities.  The Refuge assisted with the logistics and its facilities.  The program started with a barbecue lunch for the students.  Twenty-one adults (teachers, PTO staff and volunteers) were present to assist in the program.
