Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge’s non-ambulatory deer hunting program was featured on Michigan Out-of-Doors Television.  The 10 minute segment accurately described this unique hunting opportunity, the purpose of the refuge’s deer management program, and wildlife resources of the refuge.  Refuge staff and hunt participants were interviewed and outstanding video was captured of wildlife.  Viewers were able to share the sights and sounds experienced by one hunter that successfully harvested an eight-point buck.

Michigan Out-of-Doors Television focuses on hunting, fishing and conservation.  It airs every Thursday night on PBS stations throughout Michigan and reaches more than 250,000 viewers weekly.  This program has been produced since the early 1950s by the Michigan United Conservation Clubs.
