Journal Entry   Back Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge Clean-Up Northeast Region, April 1, 2008 Print Friendly Version On April 1, 2008 staff from the Eastern Massachusetts National Wildlife Refuge Complex conducted an extensive cleanup on the Great Meadows NWR off of Stonebridge Rd in Wayland.   Available refuge staff along with volunteers formed a work party and removed an old shack along with lots of old junk associated with raising sled dogs and other miscellaneous debris.   The work party managed to fill a 30YD dumpster in one day.  Just over 500 pounds of scrap metal from the cleanup site was separated and recycled.  Maintenance worker Stephen Zadroga dismantled 3 confined spaces near the clean up site using heavy equipment.
