Northeast Region, March 1, 2008
Print Friendly Version
Friends of the Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office hosted their 2nd annual Great Lakes Fishery Day at Buffalo State College.  Great Lakes Fishery Day is one of several fundraising and recruitment events organized by the Friends group, and included presentations on recreational fisheries and their management.  Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office biologist Raymond Li gave a presentation titled "Dams and Their Impacts to Fisheries".  The presentation provided an overview of river-fish communities occurring in New York State and described the Service's Fish Passage Program activities to mitigate the impacts of dams on recreational fisheries.
