Shawangunk Grasslands National Wildlife Refuge manager Edward Henry met with three members of the local community for a "walking around" meeting at this unstaffed refuge to discuss community concerns about management. The meeting was a great success and will lead to further discussion with local residents about problems and opportunities at this satellite refuge. Among the topics discussed were airplane overflights, trespass, poaching, public access, invasive species management, Service presence, snow removal and a variety of other topics.
