Joint Meeting of Partners for Fish and Wililife and Endangered Species Recovery Program Held
Southwest Region, October 25, 2007
Print Friendly Version

On October 24-25 Austin Ecological Services Field Office (ESFO) hosted a joint meeting of the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program and Endangered Species Recovery Program from Ecological Services offices across Texas.  This effort was initiated by the Texas State Coordinator for the Partners Program from Arlington ESFO.  In attendance were the Texas State Administrator, Field Supervisors, Partners and Recovery Staff from all four field offices and suboffices, and Region 2's Strategic Habitat Conservation coordinator.  The purpose of the meeting was to enhance the capability of the Partners Program to provide for the implementation of recovery actions for high-priority threatened and endangered species.  As a result of the meeting, a process for selecting high priority listed and candidate species upon which the Partners Program and other private lands conservation partners in Texas could focus was started.
