The Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force approved the 'Management and Control Plan for Bighead, Black, Grass, and Silver Carps in the United States' for implementation. 

The Carterville National Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office chaired the Asian Carp Working Group and led the collaborative development of this national management plan. 

A broad array of stakeholders representing varied interests, participated on the Working Group and actively engaged in the development of the plan. 

Working Group members invested many hours in the discussion and resolution of issues.  The commitment of all Working Group members to the collaborative process resulted in consensus on 48 strategies and 131 recommendations to manage and control Asian carps in the United States.
