Dean Granholm, Wildlife Biologist, in the Division of Conservation Planning helped plan and participated in an open house meeting held November 7, near the Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge and Management Area.

The open house was one of several methods used to provide interested members of the public an opportunity to comment on the Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan that will guide management of the Refuge for the next 15 years.

In addition to the six hour open house, printed copies of the plan were distributed in October and an electronic version was made available online on the Division of Conservation Planning website.

Attendance at the open house was light and comments were supportive of the Refuge's preferred alternative.
