Priority recovery efforts discussed by Endangered Species and Partners for Fish and Wildlife Programs in Texas
Southwest Region, October 24, 2007
Print Friendly Version
On October 24, 2007, biologists from all four Texas Ecological Services field offices, representing both the endangered species recovery and Partners for Fish and Wildlife programs met at the Austin Ecological Services Field Office to discuss the potential prioritization of recovery efforts in Texas.  Also in attendance were three field supervisors, the Texas Administrator, and the Region 2 Strategic Habitat Conservation initiative coordinator.  The meeting was very productive with some of the outcomes: a better understanding of each programs priorities and limitations; a list of variables by which to rank species; assignment of responsibilities; and establishment of a timeline to accomplishment this task.
