Journal Entry   Back Service Provides Rods, Reels, Tackle and Other Resources to Kids in Need Midwest Region, January 10, 2008 Print Friendly Version Emotionally impaired middle schoolers may be hard to reach with traditional academic programs.  However Project F.I.S.H. (Friends Involved in Sportfishing Heritage)  has provided an avenue for many such students around Michigan to flourish and teach others fishing skills. The East Lansing Field Office has provided an additional eight Shakespeare Rod/Reel combos as well as tackle, t-shirt fish printing equipment, and other outdoor/classroom equipment to this ongoing program which will be used at Haslett Middle School to boost the momentum of this successful program coordinated by the Michigan State University.  Their website is www.projectfish.org .      Contact Info: Midwest Region Public Affairs, 612-713-5313, charles_traxler@fws.gov Send to: From: Notes: ..........................................................................................
