With help from the staff of the Viking Library System (www.viking.lib.mn.us) the many books, videos and DVDs in the Friends Prairie Restoration Library at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center (PWLC) are now accessible to all Viking Library System patrons. Library users are able to check out these materials from any of the System's libraries in the surrounding area by simply requesting a title from the on-line system at home or in person.

Currently, the PWLC library includes titles on subjects related to prairie restoration such as plant and wildlife identification, restoration techniques, prescribed burns, invasive species and more. The Friends of the PWLC have been expanding the library for the last four years, and by making the materials more available to the general public, they hope to promote better understanding, protection and restoration of native prairies
