Carterville National Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office fishery biologist Greg Conover was invited to participate in a special session on Asian carps organized as part of the 2007 Governor's Conference on Management of the Illinois River System. 

Greg Conover is the Chairperson of the Asian Carp Working Group and has led the collaborative development of a national management and control plan for Asian carps. 

The conference was designed to bring together concerned citizens, agricultural, conservation and environmental organizations, industry and government representatives, educators, and resource management professionals.
