International MOU for Conservation of Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Ecosystems

After several years of coordination and collaboration by Corpus Christi ES and the Alamo ES Suboffice staff and  Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge staff and manager, Regional Director Tuggle and Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) Executive Director Robert L. Cook signed an International MOU between the Service, TPWD, The Nature Conservancy, Comisión de Áreas Protegidas, Comisión Nacional para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad, Parques y Vida Silvestre de Nuevo León, Agencia de Protección al Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, Secretaría de Desarrollo Urbano y Ecología, Comisión Estatal de Vida Silvestre, Pronatura Noreste, A.C., and The Nature Conservancy- Programa México.  The MOU facilitates management for the conservation of the flora and fauna of the Lower Rio Grande/Rio Bravo ecosystem. Each party endorses establishment and protection of wildlife management areas, refuges, and protected natural areas that will work towards reconnecting international wildlife corridors.
