Southwest Region, September 24, 2007
Print Friendly Version
On September 24, 2007, Sean Edwards of the Arlington, Texas Field Office made a presentation to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Texas at Arlington regarding careers with the Service.  The students were given a better understanding of the Service’s Mission, the Endangered Species Act, a description of the various programs within the Service, and our role in conserving natural resources.  Also detailed were several pathways to career placement including volunteer efforts and the STEP and SCEP programs. The presentation concluded with a question and answer session as the students were provided with Service employment brochures and local contact information.  Sean and two other Service biologists have been recruited as a result of similar presentations at UTA.
