Puddles Goes to the Grand Canyon
Midwest Region, July 28, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Park Ranger Charles Marshall conducted a distant outreach program in the Kaibab National Forest in northern Arizona for the Southwest Recreation, a company contracted by the National Forest Service.

Marshall, while on vacation in the region, was requested to give several Service programs including a guest visit by "Puddles the Blue Goose".  Arrangements were made with the Minnesota Valley NWR resource library to help Puddles make the flight to Arizona and return.

Puddles appeared at 2 Southwest Recreation campground programs.  Both campgrounds near Williams, Arizona, hosted programs for campers July 27 & 28 at the Dogtown Lake on Friday and Kiabab Lake on Saturday.  On Saturday afternoon, Puddles was given the opportunity to visit the Williams Forest Service Visitor Center greeting visitors.
