Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office Biological Science Technicians/STEP employees Denise Clay and Bryan Young conducted a three day survey of the Oswego Canal from July 18-20, 2007.  The objective of the survey was to determine presence of round goby in the canal from the City of Fulton to Lock 6 in Oswego, NY.  Three minnow traps were deployed and redeployed at fifteen sites along the canal over the course of three days totaling 135 trap nights.  Collection data did not yield any round goby through this section of the canal, although anglers report goby presence in the most northern portion of the Oswego River, approximately 1.5 miles away.
