Corpus Christi ES staff (Alamo suboffice) helped lead and translate for a group of students and professors from the Biological Science Department (Ornithology Laboratory) Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico who visited the South Texas Refuge Complex to learn about environmental education, ecotourism, wildlife management, and law enforcement.  They sought management ideas for the 23 Natural Protected Areas in Nuevo Leon and received an overview of the Lower Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Binational Ecosystem Group efforts to establish wildlife corridors between Texas/Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  They also toured several refuge sites and the future world birding center.  The University is interested in establishing an MOU with the South Texas Refuge Complex to exchange information and allow students to volunteer at the Refuge and gain knowledge and work experience.
