With one week still to go, already hundreds of visitors to Kenai National Wildlife Refuge have discovered a great thing to share with their children or summer company:  the Refuge's "Discovery Room" open at the Environmental Education Classroom near the headquarters in Soldotna from 1 to 4 pm daily.  The classroom is set up for self study with a variety of learning stations, hiking options, and crafts and prizes.  There are stations with information on mammals, birds, insects, and plants.  It has proven to be fun for all ages.  If you are planning a visit to the Refuge in July, please check it out.  We think you will be glad you did!
