The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides technical assistance to the fisheries management agencies in the Great Lakes.  Recently, John Netto of the Green Bay Fishery Resources Office, assisted Shawn Sitar, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, with upgrading the programming in their lake trout assessment database.  

The Visual Basic programming in the database assists with data entry, data summarization, reporting, and error proofing.  The two were able to update the coding from the previous version of the database to be functional with the most recent database software.
