Fingerlings are transferred every spring because Pendills Creek NFH lacks the rearing space needed for fry.  Jordan River NFH rears the fish to about 300 to the pound and then ships them off.

Typically just over 800,000 are transferred.  However, because Pendills Creek will be experimenting with fall fingerlings this year, they requested additional fish.

The fingerlings, which were hatched from eyed eggs at Jordan River, were reared to 289 fish per pound and then transferred between May 10th and June 1st .

A total of 604,839 Lewis Lake strain fingerlings and 502,919 Superior Apostle Island strain were hauled in seven trips from  Jordan River.
