Answering a request from the Region 3 Native American Liaison, the Twin Cities Field Office provided technical expertise on the federal and state wetland banking process, for an existing grant awarded to the Leech Lake Band.  

In cooperation with the program Liason, the National Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and tribal representatives, TCFO staff facilitated successful resolution of wetland mitigation bank issues which will ultimately lead to completion of resource conservation and species benefits in northern Minnesota.
