This year's yearling lake trout distribution driver's from Pendills Creek/Sullivan Creek NFH Complex log extensive miles in completing this very important mission critical task, hauling fish from all of Region 3 lake trout production facilities.

Due to increases in yearling lake trout production and additional capabilities of the Services new Vessel the M/V Spencer F. Baird to haul more fish per trip to final release sites off shore in Lakes Michigan and Huron.

The Pendills Creek/Sullivan Creek NFH Complex provided two distribution truck drivers, John Shuman and James Anderson .  Both drivers hauled fish to the vessel in just about all of the distribution trips.

Our two distribution trucks logged 25,027 miles.  This number of miles exceeds the circumference of the earth at the equator of 24,901 miles.  Putting this information into perspective, the miles logged from fish distribution activities becomes quite impressive.

Also impressive is the fact that neither vehicle was involved in any type of vehicular accident or infraction.  As one would surmize both of these distribution vehicles are getting older with significant mileage adding up, so maintaining and servicing them becomes a larger issue each year, until they can be replaced.
