Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office Participates in Inquiry-Based Learning Program at Urban Elementary Classroom

As part of the Buffalo Public Schools P.S. 43 Academy's curriculum for inquiry-based learning, staff from the Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office presented a program entitled "What's It Like to Be a Fish".  The interactive presentation discussed freshwater habitats, fish physiology, and the importance of monitoring fish populations and their health.  Information on boating safety and equipment was also included in the presentation.  A total of 26 first grade students and their teacher participated.
