Northeast Region, May 23, 2007
Print Friendly Version
The Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office participated in the Orleans County Conservation Field Days to familiarize students about Great Lakes fish and how aquatic and terrestrial communities in the basin function.  Students learned about aquatic species, predator-prey interactions, competition among species, and threatened and endangered species.  Students also learned about specific invasive species of the Great Lakes, how these species affect native species and what people can do to avoid spreading invasive species.
